This last couple of weeks has been my ‘thinking time’: as the first quarter is drawing to a close, it is always a time to reassess for me, to look at what’s working, what’s not, am I on target for the things I wanted to achieve, am I financially on target, am I getting the fulfilment, fun and freedom from my business and life that I want?
I know a lot of my colleagues avoid this, they really don’t want to know the answers….but for me, it’s is such an important step.
Now, it’s not that everything always goes well, and most certainly not always as planned, but it gives me a chance to really look at where I’m heading, whether it is towards my Intentions or away from them. We often end up going away from exactly what we say we wanted and do nothing about it.
So, what has this got to do with being a Seeker or the Source?
Well, part of my intention this year was to be an even greater version of the Source: to help, guide and facilitate even more people to lead a life that is full of fulfilment, fun, freedom and financial success.
We all start off as Seekers, it is part of our journey, we need to learn so much from experiences, courses, books, media, friends, family, colleagues, mentors etc. We need to seek out the knowledge so we can become the Source. This is where we share the knowledge, and if it’s our passion, we share it with as many people as we can, we help others along their journey so that they too become the source for others.
However, I believe that we never stop seeking, as life really is a lifelong learning experience, but there is a point when we became such a rich Source for others and that is when you need to share it.
After all, knowledge itself is certainly not transformational, but acting on the knowledge, now that is where the magic happens.
Looking back on the first quarter, my first thought is wow! That has gone so quickly and been so full I could barely catch my breath!
My Intention to expand, to be more Source and less Seeker is progressing well. I’ve embraced more social media, which in turn has helped me reach far more people. My newsletter continues to grow and be read by many more, the RTT part of my business is finding its own momentum and growing more quickly than I expected. I’m working on how I can use this to help many more and fulfil my role as Source. I’ve presented for the lovely Jane Thomas in Loughborough and have a big presentation in Birmingham for the FHT on RTT in May. Pilates classes are growing and we are adding more Beginner Classes, Standing Pilates, Myofascial Release, and Pippa is seeing so many more clients on a 1:1 basis and using the Reformer. Cheryl has run 2 T’ai Chi courses and we have many other short courses planned.
Let’s not forget our Coffee, Cake & Chat coming up on Saturday 28th April – ALL welcome 🙂
As usual, my Seeker part has been on quite a few courses to allow me to become more Source. On a personal level, I’ve been to Prague and Bruges, the start of my travel Intention. I’ve been exploring my creative side and am loving doing Art again. I’ve had fun doing Escapology, enjoyed Clubbercise (!), country walks, theatre trips, time with family, lunches with friends, clearing clutter, painting rooms, a busy first quarter!
My Intention for 2018 is to become more and more Source, so expect to see many different things on offer at Balance and online.
What’s your Intention for this year, Seeker or Source? Or perhaps a bit of both?
