Last weekend, I spent the weekend on a fabulous course, part of the mentoring business course that I do – yes, I do have a mentor, actually I’ve had a few, but this group is very empowering.
It amazes me how many people are surprised when I say I have a mentor – it’s something they have just not considered themselves. But, if you are honest with yourself, can you really achieve everything you want to do in life all by yourself?
If you want to grow and develop as a person then you must be willing to listen to others who are where you aspire to be, whether that’s in business, financially or emotionally.
Stepping outside of our comfort Zone and into “scary s**t” zone is the ONLY way we grow as humans, yet so many of us are happy being mediocre!
During the course of the weekend, we watched a few clips from Will Smith – he is a very inspiring speaker, I would recommend watching him on YouTube 🙂
One of the things that he said really struck a chord with me:
“Being realistic is the most commonly travelled road to mediocrity”
Wow, how true is that?
How often are we told to be realistic,
Play by the rules,
Live our lives as society expect us to,
Dampen our dreams,
Squash our ambitions and for goodness sake BE REALISTIC.
That just doesn’t sit right with me – I do not want a life of mediocrity, I would much rather be unrealistic, take a few risks and live a life full of excitement, fulfilment and adventure – wouldn’t you??
The first step to living a life that is not a life full of mediocrity is to look at your Mindset. You have to believe that you can achieve want you want out of your life and to do that, your unconscious mind must believe that too.
If you have no idea how to do that, then it’s time to learn.
That is what I teach on my Mindset course – I will be running another one in January/February, details will follow shortly.
I have already had many enquiries, so if it is something you would like to do, then contact me now and put your name down as interested.
If you want to make a change in your life, then do it now – don’t put it off again.
Follow your dreams!
