I’ve been working on Soul Realignments for clients this week, which I find truly fascinating. It gives clients such a lot of information that helps them live their lives more in alignment with who they are. I know most of us don’t give much thought to who we really are, let alone whether we are living a life that is congruent with that.
We know it all comes down to really knowing yourself but that is not as easy as it sounds. It can sometimes take us years (I know it did me) to understand who I was, what my values were, my principles, my non-negotiables, what really fills me with Joy, what I want to be doing work-wise and pleasure-wise, how I wanted to live my life and who with, what I wanted my life to look like.
That took a lot of time for me to work out. It took time because I was very caught up with looking after others – my children mainly – and creating an environment and home where they would flourish. It took time because I was building a business and that can be extremely time consuming. It took time because I wasn’t in the right place mentally to think or accept anything different.
I’m cool with that. I truly believe that we are exactly where we are meant to be and when the time was right for me, the growth and change were so fast and so powerful and clearly came at precisely the right time for me.
The thing is, when you are living a life in alignment with who you really are, then life is easier. It flows, it expands, it changes in the most amazing way, you feel different, calmer, more grounded, clear, focussed and, most importantly, happier.
Most of us know what out of alignment feels like – it’s hard, awkward, a struggle, a fight, draining, overwhelming, chaotic – it feels horrible and it feels wrong.
It’s exactly the same in our bodies – when you are doing your Pilates, you can feel when something isn’t working right, if you are tighter on one side, weaker on another, when we can manage an exercise really well and when sometimes it seems impossible. Whether it is your body, mind or soul, it is so important to work on your alignment, working against it is a life full of struggle and angst.
Some of us are fantastic at working it all out for ourselves. Others (like me), need some help, support and guidance so that we can live a life as aligned in body, mind and soul as we possibly can.
I love having the space at Balance because it allows me to be able to help you all find better alignment in your bodies, minds & souls.
I have set up our Explore, Expand, Engage – Living a life less Ordinary group and we are having our first meet up Friday October 5th, 10am-12noon: please contact me if you would like to attend. I know many of you who said you were interested cannot make this one, but I have also set up a Closed Facebook group so please click here to join us in there and keep up to date with what is happening. Once you’ve clicked the link, you’ll need to log into Facebook and then click on the ‘join group’ button.
Exciting news as I think this will be wonderful for many of us – I am organising a portable scanner to come to Balance (hopefully TUESDAY Oct 23rd – awaiting confirmation) so we can have a scan for Osteoporosis.
You will be given the results there and then and any further advice if needed, your report will also be emailed to you and if you need a letter for your GP this will also be provided.
We will have 15 slots available on the day only, so it will be on a first come first served basis – please look out for a separate email, which will be sent out as soon as I have confirmation on the date.
