I’ve not been teaching this week, which has given me time to do lots of admin (those of you that know me, know this is NOT my favourite thing to do!)….but to reward myself for some super productive days this week, I have been studying, reading, listening to podcasts, watching you tube clips on Mindset……one of my favourite things to do!! 🙂

I heard something that really stood out for me and I just had to share it with you:

“Your level of success will seldom exceed your level of personal development”

Wow….that’s worth reading again! It stopped me in my tracks as I let that statement sink into my brain. 

I’m a firm believer in personal development, surely we are all striving towards getting each and every area of our lives to a level 10! I’m not talking just about Financial Success, or Business Success, but also about Health, relationships with your partner, children, parents, friends, work colleagues, Spirituality etc. – EVERY area of your life.

You see I meet a lot of people who want to change their lives, they have aches and pains, some have been in chronic pain for such a long time, some want to maintain their flexibility and strength, others want to improve their levels……..what’s important is that all these people are coming to me to strive to get their ‘fitness/health/well being’ up to a their  level 10.

That’s great, they know they can’t do it by themselves, so they approach me……what happens next with a lot of people is they then don’t do it, they either don’t start their Pilates, or do for a few weeks and then stop…….they’ve usually got a ‘valid’ reason, that time doesn’t suit me, I can’t commit to every week, I can’t spend that money on myself etc etc………..what they are really saying is that they are not prepared to put in the work required that will take them form a level 2 to maybe a level 8,9 or even 10!

You can look at all areas of your life and apply the same thinking…..how many of us make an effort to EVERY single week or month (you choose – its just the commitment you have to stick too!), to have a date night with our loved one, away from the kids, work, friends, just you and yours to nurture your relationship, to value your relationship, to take your relationship from a poor level 2/3 to a fabulous 9/10?!

Whatever area on your life you want to improve on, takes consistent work………but the rewards are phenomenal!

I’ve got some wonderful clients that have been with me for 15 years in May (!!), their level of fitness, flexibility, wellbeing is so high – they exude vitality, many of them walk, trek, ski, cycle, swim, gym, play with their grandkids, go on adventure trips, do challenges for charity, or simply kept more flexibility & strength etc etc – all this is achieved because they have taken their ‘health’ to a level 10!

Put YOUR personal development as a priority and watch your levels rise  🙂
